Written by Amy Hepp

Two weeks in a gorgeous lodge in northern Minnesota is a perfect way to escape the congested city and the reality of her failed marriage. Much to her surprise, a registration error lands her in the middle of a ten day canoe camping adventure through the rugged wilderness of the Boundary Waters with an eclectic group of campers. Her cute new hiking boots don’t hide the fact she’s clueless about camping and she accepts help from a handsome teammate with stellar skills.

Mark finds solace in nature to soothe the ache of his recent loss. When he embarks on a ten day Boundary Waters canoe adventure, he is thrown into emotional chaos when the spark between him and the rookie from Chicago ignites faster than a campfire.

They face miles of open water, storms, bears, and steep portages in the Boundary Waters. But the biggest challenge might be opening their hearts.

Amy Hepp grew up in several locations along the Great Lakes. She is a graduate of Purdue University and settled in a suburb of Detroit with the love of her life. Amy devoured the contemporary romance genre as a sleep deprived young mother of three, needing an escape from reality. Amy is a runner, loves puzzles, and writes from her home in Ann Arbor, Michigan. (Northern Woods, 2022)

Amy Hepp fell in love with the Boundary Waters of northern Minnesota as a teenager and is excited to share this fiercely protected wilderness with her readers. Amy writes love stories set in the Boundary Waters from her screened-in porch among the birds and blue skies of Raleigh, North Carolina.
