Shanda Trent is a picture book author and retired teacher. She lived her early years in the country near Grand Rapids, Michigan. Without a lot of friends nearby, she spent lots of time outdoors with barn cats and books.
Shee grew up to be a teacher, and moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan. She worked mostly with preschoolers and their families. She and her husband and I adopted three girls who are now grown up. Thirty years with all those children gave her lots of ideas for stories, and they continue to inspire new stories.
When she's not writing, I love to wander beaches looking for treasures, especially discarded glass shards, polished by sand and stones. Shanda is the author of Farmers’ Market Day and Giddy-Up, Buckaroos.
